Martinus Wine Festival in St. Martin

In honor of the patron saint the village of St. Martin hosts the “Martinus Wine Festival” annually. It is among the oldest and most traditional wine festivals in the Palatinate region. In the alleys, taverns and wine cellars of the village good mood is guaranteed during the festival. The wine festival starts on Friday at 7 p.m. A musical program is provided as well. Wine taverns offer delicious specialties and several local restaurants serve roast goose. Inside the cultural barn “Alte Kellerei” an arts and crafts market with autumnal products is held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday all horse owners gather at the pastoral office “Pfarrzentrum” at 2.30 p.m. in order to have their horses blessed. Visitors can marvel at a fruit carpet made of approx. 40 kinds of seeds, grains, fruits and natural materials annually displayed inside the church from November 1 until November 29.
