Falconry visits Nanstein Castle Landstuhl

This summer, visitors of Nanstein Castle can immerse themselves in the world of the High Middle Ages. They can experience the period of the 13th century at first hand. Imperial Count of Leiningen, named Frederick I Emich, will set up his medieval knight camp including falconry in the courtyard of Landstuhl castle. Knighthood enthusiasts – whether young or old – can stay in close touch with birds of prey. Interested parties can try on an armor of a knight and weapons dating from the medieval times. Imperial Count Frederick and his knights and squires are looking forward to welcome you and answer all your questions about falconry from the Middle Ages until know. The knight camp is open Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Enrollment not required. Admission free!
