Exhibtion at Docu Center Ramstein: Hans Paqué
July 13 @ 2:00 pm - November 24 @ 5:00 pmFree admission!
The Docu Center Ramstein dedicates its latest special exhibition to Hans Paqué – an important Ramstein personality. Hans Paqué was what one can call a “village photographer” in a positive sense. Born in Ramstein in 1929, he was closely associated with his hometown until his death in February 2019. The most important events were documented by him with his camera: politics, clubs and associations, village fairs and festivals or structural development. This exhibition now focuses on the photos Hans Paqué took of the “Americans”. Because of the deep influence that the US military has had for Ramstein in the past decades, the significance of these photos goes beyond his home town. From the extensive stock of the photographer the Docu Center selected some of the most interesting pictures to show them to the public. The opening of the exhibition takes place on Saturday, July 13, at 10:30 a.m. Until 24 November 2019 the exhibition can visited throughout the regular opening hours of the Docu Center Tuesday to Sunday from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Free admission!
