Friday, July 29 Ramstein Summer Nights: Italian Night

From July 22 until August 26 the "Ramstein Summer Nights" take place on an open-air stage in front of Ramstein´s city hall each Friday evening: Each theme night has the focus on a different country with traditional music, food and drinks from that country. The series of the “Ramstein Summer Nights” continues with an Italian Night on Friday, July 25 from 8 p.m. The Italian singer Luigi Botta and his band entertain the visitors and make them feel like being on a vacation in Italy.  Luigi Botta´s repertoire includes popular songs by Eros Ramazotti, Umberto Tozzi, Zucchero, Adriano Celentano and others. The restaurant “Die Bühne-Backstage” serves Italian specialties. Enjoy the international flair in Ramstein - Free admission! Further dates: Aug 5/ Aug 12/ Aug 19/ Aug 26

Friday, July 29 – Sunday, July 31 12th Richard-Löwenherz Fest

Richard the Lionheart was captured at Trifels Castle near Annweiler. This historical festival reminds of this famous prisoner and turns the clocks back to the Middle Ages just for this weekend. The festival features a medieval market. The program includes musical entertainment, sword fights, archery, gleemen, wizards and others. Blacksmiths, stone carvers, cloth-weavers, glass blowers etc. present manual craft in medieval times. Young visitors can enjoy a puppet theater, a hand-operated carousel, knight games a much more. Food and drinks are available. The medieval market starts at 6 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday the market hours are from 12:30 p.m. until midnight and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. On Friday entrance fee is € 2 for adults. Children until the age of 16 years have free entrance. On Saturday and Sunday entrance fee is € 7 for adults, € 4 for visitors in medieval garments and € 2 for children under 16 years.
