A big amusement park offering a variety of rides for children and adults will allure many visitors to Kaiserslautern´s Messeplatz. Enjoy the huge fun mile featuring a roller coaster, a giant Ferris wheel, merry-go-rounds as well as culinary specialties, candies, products of arts and crafts, spices, household articles and a lot more. On Friday, May 24 the fair starts at 5 p.m. and a fireworks display will illuminate the big fairground at 10 p.m. The fairground opens at 2 p.m. daily. Saturday and Sunday it closes at 1 a.m., all other days at midnight. Wednesday, May 29 is family day with reduced prices and additional activities. Dollar Day is on Friday, May 31, $ 1 equals € 1. A closing fireworks display will take place on Monday, June 3. The Kaiserslautern Fair has the reputation of being the biggest folk festival in Western Palatinate.

In the western part of the Palatinate a wine fest is quite unusual but in the village of Brücken located 20 minutes away from Ramstein it has meanwhile become a tradition. Around the Museumsplatz the local clubs and associations will offer wines and other culinary delights from several countries throughout Europe as well as German wines. Visitors can also enjoy the musical entertainment program. The festival starts at 6 p.m. on both days. In Brücken you also have the possibility to visit the Diamond Cutter Museum.
