Friday, July 1 - Sunday, July 3 Medieval Market

In celebration of its 1125th anniversary Winnweiler hosts a medieval market. The market features more than 30 traders and a large knight´s camp with 20 medieval groups. A varied entertainment program including show fights, performances and presentations of craftsmen, jugglers, hangmen and phenomenal medieval music resurrects the Middle Ages. Children will enjoy a Viking ship play area and face painting. One of the highlights is the fire show on Saturday evening. Food and beverages are available, too. The medieval market opens Friday at 6 p.m. with free admission on that evening! On Saturday the market starts at 12 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m. Entrance fee is € 5 for adults (€ 8 for 2 days) and € 3 for medieval dressed. A family ticket is € 12. Children up to 1.30 meters (4.2 feet) have free entrance. Parking is available within walking distance. Experience the authentic and ancient atmosphere of previous centuries!

Friday, July 1 – Sunday, July 3 Altstadtfest at Kaiserslautern´s Old Town

Every year the Altstadtfest allures a large number of visitors to Kaiserslautern. The historic city center is turned into a huge open-air scene with live music on 9 different stages. The music program ranges from rock to soul to blues. Further great entertainment is guaranteed by street theater and presentations of arts and crafts. Throughout the old part of town, many vendors offer a wide range of merchandise such as leather goods, jewelry and much more. A great choice of culinary specialties and beverages is available. The festival takes place from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday, from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
