Saturday, October 22 – Sunday, October 23 Ramstein Wendelinus Market
Ramstein, city center

In honor of Saint Wendelinus the city of Ramstein celebrated the “Wendelinus Market” in 1710 for the first time. The patron saint answered the prayers of the locals and protected their livestock against epizootic disease. The market was resurrected 30 years ago. A church service is held at the market square on Saturday at 11 a.m. Visitors can bring their pets to have them blessed. The market features about 100 exhibitors offering a large variety of goods. A great choice of food and drinks, reaching from regional specialties to Italian and Asian food, is available. Visitors can watch arts and crafts presentations. A French market including French musical entertainment is set up on Spesbacher Strasse. Market traders from our neighboring country sell French delights such as pies, crepes, wine and champagne. Children can enjoy carousel rides in front of the city hall. On both days musical entertainment is featured by the band “Duo Eifler”. From 2:30 p.m. a drum group creates African flair in the city center of Ramstein. The “Wendelinus Market” is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A model train swap is held at the community center Haus des Bürgers on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Furthermore, the Ramstein stores are open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
